Fair Trade Fashion Show and Panel at Columbia College Chicago, April 26

Date: April 26, 2017

Time: 5:45 pm

CFT and Columbia College Fair Trade organization are co-hosting an ethical fashion show featuring fair trade vendors, local ethical fashion brands, and even sustainable fashion student work. Before the fashion show, the public is open to socialize and sip on some fair trade wine, enjoy light bites, and shop from our ethical fashion pop-up shop. After the fashion show there will be a panel discussion featuring ethical fashion super stars who are changing the game in Chicago manufacturing. Our awesome keynote speaker Kelsey Timmerman, author of “Where am I Wearing?” will be rounding out this action-packed night by discussing his revolutionary book on his own personal journey dealing with the harmful effects of the globalization of fashion.

“An enlightening and thought-provoking speaker, Timmerman is passionate about educated consumers, encouraging them to think globally and act locally. Putting a face on globalization, he provokes others to check their tags and think about where their clothing came from.”
